About

Collaborative housing is an umbrella term to describe a wide range of collectively self-organised and self-managed housing. We at Collaborative Housing Limerick are passionate about building community and encouraging the creation of sustainable housing solutions in Ireland.

Collaborative Housing Limerick is a community group set up in 2018 to explore collaborative living options in Limerick city and county. The group meets on a monthly basis to discuss a variety of housing issues and solutions. New members are always welcome! See the ‘meetings’ page for the meeting dates and locations.

This website will be a central source of information for, and news from, the Collaborative Housing Limerick community group, while also serving as a depository for interesting and relevant news on collaborative housing in Ireland and abroad. The blog page will be updated regularly by one of the Collaborative Housing Limerick group members, Kim O’Shea, who is currently undertaking a PhD in the University of Limerick. The topic of her research is co-housing, so you can expect to find some news articles as well as research findings and developments over on the blog page.
